BOSTON (WHDH) - A Boston College senior is helping students in Dorchester get ready to go back to school.
Caroline Finnerty started raising money back in June to help Dever Elementary School in Dorchester. She has since collected more than $5,000 and bought hundreds of supplies for students and teachers.
“I wanted to just give the students things that are fun and make them want to come to school and make it easier for the teachers to get the students to love school and love learning,” said Finnerty.
Finnerty said she wants to be an elementary school teacher after she graduates college.
