Boston College took home another Beanpot Tuesday evening following a tournament finale that included a power outage.
Lights around the rink at TD Garden went out during the first period between the Eagles and the Boston University Terriers. The rest of the area was not affected but play was delayed for about 30 minutes.
Both teams remains scoreless through regulation but overtime did not last long. Less than two minutes into overtime, Eagles player Alex Tuch scored the game-winning goal, giving the Eagles a 1-0 win.
This is BC’s sixth Beanpot title in the past seven seasons.
