The Belchertown select board is standing their ground after the state held a meeting discussing the possibility of putting rattlesnakes on the Quabbin Reservoir.
The select board says the state never told them about the meeting last month.
There is supposed to be a vote on the endangered rattlesnake relocation next month.
Belchertown leaders want it postponed until after they meet with officials from the state.
