BOSTON (WHDH) - Bella Bond was honored Sunday on the first anniversary since her body first appeared on Deer Island.
The 2-year-old’s remains were found stuffed inside a garbage bag on the beach last year. She was known as “Baby Doe” for months until a positive identification was made. Bella’s grandmother Trisha Quinn paid her respects Sunday evening.
“She didn’t deserve this,” said Quinn. “It’s sick, it’s very sick.”
Bella’s mother and her mother’s boyfriend have been charged in connection with her death. A vigil will be held on Deer Island on Aug. 6 on what would have been Bella’s fourth birthday.
