FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) — Six-year-old Riley Fessenden, who’s battling a rare form of nasal cancer, got to visit Gillette Stadium and received a visit from a superstar.

Fessenden’s Beverly cheerleading squad got to visit the Patriots cheerleaders after being in the top five fundraisers in New England for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

The team ended up raising more than $17,000 for the organization.

Despite radiation treatments, Fessenden has been present and enthusiastic at cheerleading practice.

“"She's doing wonderful. Times like this that keep her going keep her spirits up she's doing great,” said father Todd Fessenden.

Fessenden appeared alongside her squad at Gillette but got a little something extra: The chance to see what it’s like to be a player and to meet quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady appeared at the mock press conference to give the girl an autographed football and her own personalized jersey.
