The 8th annual Midnight Marathon Bike Ride took place early Monday morning ahead of the Boston Marathon.
Hours before thousands of runners took off, bikers pedaled their way through the entire Marathon route and crossed the finish line.
The ride is completely unsanctioned by race officials.
It has been a tradition since 2009.
