MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — A bill in Vermont’s Legislature would ban the sale of all flavored tobacco and vaping products in an effort to keep young people from getting hooked.
The legislation would ban menthol cigarettes and vape juice flavors such as mint, mango and cinnamon, WPTZ-TV reported. A version of the bill was introduced Tuesday in the House. A Senate version was introduced Jan. 15.
The ban would also limit vape-liquid options so they had the taste and smell of tobacco.
Vermont imposed multiple regulations last year, including raising the smoking age from 18 to 21.
