SALEM, N.H. (WHDH) — While some families are cleaning up from Thanksgiving dinner, others are in line at stores waiting for Black Friday deals.

Store in New Hampshire opened as early as 5 p.m., but Bay State shoppers will need to wait for stores to open at midnight.

Toys R’ Us in Salem New Hampshire was one of the earlier stores to open, a line of people around the building was let in at 5 p.m.

Shoppers at the toy store have been in line since the morning.

"I've been here since 12, I made my dinner very early. At 10:30 we had a brunch” Vanessa Lugo said.

Bargain hunters at the Rockland Mall have been waiting for more than a day. Roland Mercier, a 14-year-old, said he had been in line since 4 p.m. Wednesday.

"We should be spending Thanksgiving day with family but we sort of have all of our family here,"  Mercier said.

Still, many of the shoppers are there because they want to give their children the best holidays possible.

“I'm from a low income family and we want to give our kids the best Christmas we can with what we have. If I want to stretch my dollar then I'll come and do these sales,” Nicole Hardy said.

Shoppers in Massachusetts and other states are also waiting in line, although they have several more hours before Black Friday.
