The National Weather Service has expanded Thursday’s blizzard warning to include the City of Boston and several other regions.

Other ares include the North Shore, South Shore, Middlesex County, Essex County, Plymouth County, Suffolk County, Bristol County.
The NWS says heavy snow and scattered thunderstorms, with rates of nearly 2-3 inches per hour, may be seen in these areas.
Additionally, wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour are possible.
The warning also covers points along the south coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
