ORWELL, Vt. (AP) — Vermont State Police searching for a missing ice fisherman have recovered a body from Lake Champlain.

Police say the remains were recovered from the lake near Orwell Wednesday afternoon and match the description of 61-year-old Lee Wiktorski, of Benson.

A concerned relative reported Wiktorski missing from his fishing trip late Monday.

Search crews and divers found his pickup truck submerged in 22 feet of water in the icy lake on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the body is being transported to the chief medical examiner’s office in Burlington to confirm the identity and for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
