Oklahoma City, OK (WHDH) — A bomb scare occurred on a Celtics charter flight to Oklahoma City Saturday night.
Officials received a call around 4 p.m. Central Time reporting a bomb threat to the flight.
The flight landed safely in Oklahoma City at 6: 30 p.m.
Once landed, FBI searched the plan and found nothing
Oklahoma City Police have no indication that the incident was anything more than a hoax.
The NBA is working with the FBI as they investigate the incident.
Delta Airlines released the following statement to 7News:
The threat was made to the flight itself, and not to the members aboard the plane.
The team was flying to the Midwest to play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.
The threat was one of several threats made to several planes across the country.
