Boston bans pet stores’ sale of puppies, etc. from commercial breeders

Boston pet stores won’t be able to sell puppies, kittens or rabbits from commercial breeders.

The Boston City Council approved this decision unanimously.

It’s an attempt to prevent the sale of animals, bred in unsafe conditions.

There aren’t any stores currently selling pets from those breeders, but one franchise is looking to open in Boston in the future.
