BOSTON (WHDH) - The Boston City Council unanimously approved a plan to give themselves pay raises at a rate even higher than Mayor Michelle Wu’s original proposal.
As part of the plan, which was approved by the council on Wednesday, the mayor’s salary would increase from $207,000 to $250,000. A city councilor’s salary would climb to $125,000.
Councilors cite the cost of living for the increase. Wu must now approve the measure.
