Boston City Hall will soon be open for walk-in services five days a week, Mayor Kim Janey announced Tuesday.

The center of city government, which has been open for pre-arranged appointments generally three days a week since reopening last July, will schedule appointments four days a week starting next week and as of July 12 plans to be open five days a week on a walk-in basis.

“I want to thank all of our amazing dedicated city employees who have been working hard over the last 14 months of this pandemic. And as we reopen City Hall for full services, we are welcoming back our employees in a phased-in approach over the next six weeks because we understand that people need to work out their child care options and summer camp options for their children and other responsibilities,” Janey said.

Legislative leaders have not yet indicated when they might reopen the State House, which has been closed to the public since last March.
