BOSTON (WHDH) — Boston health officials said for the first time this summer they've found mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile Virus.

Tests performed earlier in the week confirmed one positive mosquito pool in Jamaica Plain.

So far, no human cases have been reported.

Health officials are urging people to make sure to cover up and to use bug spray in order to avoid getting bitten.

They’re also asking people to drain any standing water to limit the number of places mosquitoes can lay eggs.
