BOSTON (WHDH) - A Boston Marathon bombing survivor is taking another step on his road to recovery.

Stoneham native JP Norden, who lost a leg in the attacks, underwent several hours of surgery in Boston Friday to repair his ear drums.

He and many other survivors suffered hearing loss from the blasts.

Norden lost 80 percent of his hearing.

Doctors are now workign to help him regain some of that loss.
