BOSTON (WHDH) - Police are investigating a case of indecent assault near the State House.

The victim, a visually-impaired woman, said she was walking her service dog near Beacon and Bowdoin Streets when someone inappropriately touched her.

She was not able to provide a description of the suspect.

Boston Police are now asking for the public’s help finding the suspect.

The incident happened just after 10 a.m. Monday.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said the incident is disturbing.

“That particular case is under investigation now,” he said. “It happened in daylight, so that’s another concerning piece to us. We’re certainly doing a full investigation to see what happened.”

Investigators have not said whether they have any surveillance video from the area that might help.
