In an unprecedented move, Boston Public Schools sent a letter home to parents offering help and guidance after Tuesday’s historic election.

Superintendent Tommy Chang wrote a letter to parents saying this was an important time to keep children safe.

“As educators, we should use this opportunity as a teachable moment to have conversations with our students… We must ensure that our students feel safe by providing safe and respectful learning communities.”

BPS will be offering support services to both students and teachers.
