BOSTON (WHDH) - Fidel Castro’s death hit home here in Boston.

The Cuban community in Jamaica Plain gathered to mark the historic moment.

People at the Jamaica Plain restaurant, Cuba de Oriental, kept a special bottle of cider to toast Fidel Castro’s death.

They said they were saving it for the special occasion.

Many said they had high hopes for Cuba to return to what it was 50 year ago.
