BOSTON (WHDH) - A young pianist from Boston said his dream came true when he got the chance to join Billy Joel onstage at Fenway Park.
Bradley Bartlett-Roche, also known as “Boston’s Piano Kid,” can often be seen performing for crowds at Faneuil Hall. Thursday night, the Piano Kid played a duet with the Piano Man, wowing the crowd and getting lots of applause. The 13-year-old picked the song they would play, a lesser-known instrumental by Joel, “Root Beer Rag.”
“I was euphoric,” said Bradley. “I couldn’t help myself, it was the best moment of my life.”
The next day, Bradley was back at Faneuil Hall, performing for his usual audience. Bradley said he had lots of fun at Fenway Park and even got to talk music with Joel backstage.
