BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston Police are investigating after a Molotov cocktail was found on an officer’s front lawn.
Boston Police said the device was found at 8 a.m. Sunday and they are treating it as a serious incident. The bottle left minor damage to the lawn but the house was not damaged.
It is not known if the police officer was targeted or if this was random. The fire arson squad is assisting in the investigation.
“The safety and well-being of my officers is always of the highest importance to me and, as a result, this is an incident we are taking seriously and investigating accordingly,” Police Commissioner William Evans said in a statement.
