The Boston Police officer who was shot on Friday has been released from the hospital Sunday evening.

Officer Kurt Stokinger was in Dorchester Friday morning when he was shot in the leg. The 9-year veteran spent the weekend recovering at Boston Medical Center.

Grant Headley, the man accused of shooting Stokinger, will face a judge Monday. Headley, 27, was on probation after serving five years in prison when he allegedly shot Stokinger.
