With highs struggling to make it above the freezing mark, we really could use a little time to thaw out!  Relief is on the way, as a warm front moves through overnight.  Sunday morning won’t be nearly as cold as this morning was, thanks to the cloud cover and the milder air working in.  We’ll see temps stay fairly steady overnight, and then warm into the mid 40s (west of 495) and low 50s (east of 495) Sunday afternoon!

Personally, I’d like to keep the milder weather around for a bit longer.  However, we do get an encore of the 50s for Monday.  I remind myself often that we are quickly moving into the month of December, which means the 50s are out of style just like poodle skirts.  We can enjoy the milder weather while it’s here to visit, but it will be sure not to wear out its welcome.

A very powerful cold front will work through late Monday, causing the temperatures to PLUMMET once again.  Many areas will see highs top out below freezing once again.  The silver lining?  Or maybe the “golden-lining,” as it were, is that we will have a lot of sunshine around!  It looks like a nice, bright, COLD Tuesday ahead.

But WAIT, there’s MORE!  Another day back into the 50s on Wednesday!  Before we get to that milder afternoon, we have to watch out for the morning commute on Wednesday.  The next warm front that moves through will also likely push through some precip, which could be a wintry mix early in the morning.  This mix doesn’t look to move beyond northern Mass, and southern New Hampshire, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on it.

Again, if I had a nickel for every time I said it:  “What goes up, must come down,” and our roller coaster continues into Thursday for another cool down.  However, this next round of cold air takes us closer to seasonal averages.  We’ll get a little feel on Thursday as to what the beginning of December should feel like.

I’m tracking another storm that looks like it could arrive next week.  Still far out – and most models don’t have it even coming close to the Bay State.  Weather we get hit with a storm or not though, right now it looks like more rain than snow.  Stay tuned!
