A British Airways jet burst into flames while preparing for take off Tuesday evening at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

The boeing 777’s emergency slides were deployed and the 159 passengers and 13 crew members on board made it off the plane safely and were bused to the terminal.

Airport officials said 13 were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

John Clausen, a deputy chief with the Clark County Fire Department, said the fire didn’t appear to breach the cabin.

The Federal Aviation Administration said two inspectors are on the scene, and while the exact cause has not been determined, all signs point to a possible engine failure.
