BROCKTON, MASS. (WHDH) - A Brockton woman was arrested police said she abused two young boys in her case over a period of six months.

Court documents said 31-year-old Nancy Intelisano was baby-sitting the 4-year-old and 9-year-old boys at their apartment on North Main Street when the alleged abuse occurred.

According to the police report, the 4-year-old suffered a broken arm last month and Intelisano claimed he fell when jumping from couch to couch. Doctors determined the injury was the result of a forceful push or pull. Doctors examining the boy also found bruises on his stomach, scratches on his face and a black eye.

“It’s horrible and it shouldn’t have happened,” said the boys’ mother. “My kids should have never had to have gone through that and it’s horrible and that’s all I have to say.”

The police report said in another instance, Intelisano threw him across the room and put him in the shower, where she sprayed him in the face with cold water and gagged him as punishment. She is also accused of putting a cigarette out on a cut on his hand.

Intelisano, who has two young children of her own, now faces 16 charges, including reckless endangerment to assault and battery on a child. She is being held on $50,000 bail and is due back in court next month. The Department of Children and Families said they are also investigating.
