A Brockton store owner fought off a man who she says attempted to rob the shop on Wednesday.
Surveillance video shows a man with a knife lunging at store owner Maria Alves after the man grabbed a soda, a bag of chips and asked for cigarettes
When the man came to the counter to pay, Alves says he pulled the knife.
"I hit him [with a club]" she said. "The only thing that came to my mind wass to protect myself."
Nobody was injured. The suspect remains at large.
