NANTUCKET, MASS. (WHDH) - Fishermen working off the Nantucket coast were left reeling after they spotted something unusual poking out of the water: two pairs of antlers.
Footage shared by the Nantucket Current showed two bucks swimming closely alongside each other about a mile off the east end of the island.
In a Twitter thread, the Current said that one buck was an adult and the other was a juvenile, and added that deer are avid swimmers.
““We were racing out to go fishing that day and we were five to 10 minutes from where we wanted to be, and one of the guys said ‘slow down’!” the fisherman who shared the video told the Current. “Right away he recognized what it was. We circled back around and tried to guide them to shore.”
