WATERTOWN, Mass. (WHDH) — A bullet was found on a projector inside Watertown High School Friday morning. The students were safe and dismissed for the remainder of the day.

Roads were blocked off and the students were released in a controlled, but unexpected dismissal.

A teacher found a single bullet on a projector in a classroom around 8 a.m. That caused an alarm to go off in the school and kids sheltered in place for the next four hours.

Half a dozen police cruisers came to the school, and were in the process of trying to help the students get out unexpectedly with an early dismissal and they continue to investigate how that bullet found its way into the classroom.
