Chattanooga, TN (WHDH) — The Chattanooga school bus driver charged in a crash that killed six children appeared in court Thursday.
Johnthony Walker faces vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving charges.
Three weeks ago the 24-year-old’s bus swerved off a street, toppled on its side and slammed into a tree.
Investigators say that Walker lost control of the bus while driving down an unproved route at well over the speed limit.
Six elementary school students died after the crash, more than a dozen others were injured.
