Beginning Monday, Rhode Island will scale back capacity at many businesses and shut down others for two weeks during a “pause” to slow mounting coronavirus case rates, officials said.

The state will shut down gyms, indoor sports centers, bars, movie theaters, bowling alleys, and casinos.

Capacity will be further limited at restaurants, retailers, and houses of worship.
