Authorities have located the car that struck and seriously injured a Cambridge woman on Sunday.

Police have also identified a 62-year-old Somerville resident as its driver, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. On Friday, police issued the driver a citation for leaving the scene of personal injury.

No criminal charges have been filed as police continue their investigation.

The 77-year-old Cambridge woman was struck as she was traveling in her wheelchair south on Columbia Street near Lincoln Street at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, police said.

The woman suffered serious injuries and remains in critical condition, according to police.

Police say the driver fled the area traveling north towards Somerville on Webster Avenue and Prospect Street.

Police described the car as a 1996-1999 green or blue Ford Taurus.
