The snow began out by Worcester early Thursday, and moved towards the Cape and Islands.

At least 8 inches of snow fell in Sandwich Thursday. Gusty winds brought down trees and electrical poles on the Cape; officials said some small fires sparked when wires came down but nothing major happened.

Lots of residents on the Cape also had to deal with power outages.

Plymouth was also battered by high winds and at least 11 inches of snow fell. 7’s Kerri Corrado and 7’s Kim Lucey were both live in Plymouth with views of the conditions:
