NASHUA, N.H. (WHDH) — Police are searching for the rightful owner of envelopes stuffed with cash, which were brought into the Nashua Police Department on Christmas Day.
A person was walking on Manchester St. near Henri Burque Highway when they saw a stack of envelopes. Inside each envelope was a handwritten note, a card and some cash.
Officials are now looking for anybody with information on the rightful owners.
“If somebody wants to come in and claim the envelopes we would love to rejoin the giver with the intended recipients,” said Lt. Frank Bourgeoius.
Police are not releasing the amount since this will be one of the clues used to identify the proper recipient. Whoever wants to claim the money should also be prepared to detail the number of envelopes as well as the names on the envelopes.
If anybody has any information on the rightful owners of the money, they are asked to contact the Nashua Police Department at (603) 594-3500.
