KANSAS CITY, Mo. (NBC) — A beloved family cat that went missing 7 years ago was reunited with her family more than 1,000 miles away.
“Sky,” the Siamese cat, arrived in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday on a flight from Orlando, Florida.
Sky disappeared when the family lived in Naples.
The cat recently snuggled up to a coupe at a convenience store in Florida. They gave the cat a bath, fed her and had her micro-chip checked.
It turned out that Sky’s family was now living in Kansas City, and were thrilled when they found out Sky had been found.
“It’s a wonderful Christmas miracle,” said Amber Roth, Sky’s owner.
Sky was taken back to Missouri thanks to a traveler who had heard the story, and offered to take the cat with her on a flight she was taking from Orlando to Kansas City.
