BOSTON (WHDH) - A 9-year-old cat with a medical condition that required the removal of his eyes is searching for a forever home after his previous owner passed away.
The cat, named Johnathan, was surrendered to the Animal Rescue League of Boston following his owner’s passing.
The ARL says Johnathan seems to be in better spirits since his eyes were removed.
“Even though he cannot see anymore, he will still perk his head up and head-butt your hand when you come to say hello,” the ARL wrote. “He loves his chubby cheeks scratched and really just wants to be loved on all the time!”
Johnathan needs a quiet home with minimal foot traffic and no others pets as he learns to navigate without his sight, according to the ARL.
He is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by the ARL vet team.
Anyone interested in adopting Johnathan can fill out the Boston Adoption Interest Form here.
