Change can be slow—just look no further than the (in) activity inside the Beltway. #Gridlock. We see that in the atmosphere as well—heck, even our oceans warm & cool slower than air—and it’s the theme of the blog as yesterday’s storm hangs with us just a bit longer.
Today offers clouds, some sprinkles (even a brief shower) and a chilly wind keeping the temps from moving much throughout the day…upper 40s. November doing its thing. After evening clouds and sprinkles, skies will partially clear out after midnight setting us up for a cold Saturday morning–upper 20s/low 30s.
Saturday is a decent day by November standards with lots of sunshine and little to no wind. Clouds will be here/there during the afternoon. Temps are rather cold to start and this time of year with that weak sun it can be a slow process to warm things up so look for those temps to reach the mid 40s and that’s about it. Sunday will be the milder of the two weekend days as temps start near 40 and finish in the 50s. the reason for the mild start on Sunday morning is clouds. A weak system zips through New England early in the day with clouds but will deliver some milder air. Pats are off–good day for yardwork.
I wouldn’t put the yardwork off till next weekend…..long range models all advertising our first (of several) shot of arctic air late next week and with all that arctic air lurking near that warm ocean….might get interesting around these parts in 7-8 days. ;o)
Enjoy you weekend!
