Crews in Chelsea are preparing for the spring snowstorm which will leave people with a snowy, messy commute to deal with Monday morning.
The salt pile in Chelsea is ready to go for crews to salt the roads for commuters Monday morning. Plows are also being prepared to handle anything, as several inches is expected to fall by the time the snow stops Monday afternoon.
At Ace Hardware in Charlestown, shovels and bags of salt are back on the shelves for the first day of spring.
With heavy snow expected in the morning, Boston Public Schools will be closed on Monday.
