A bit of a chill to the air this morning with some patches of frost in the burbs, but overall, a fantastic day ahead of us with temperatures taking a run toward 70 degrees this afternoon!  We’ll go from a morning chill to just chillin’ and grillin’ by dinner time.  So nice to have the pleasant weather back with us, isn’t it? Just great to get outside with the kids after work and get in those baseball and softball games.

The beautiful weather continues through the next few days with temperatures into the 70s inland and 60s along the coastline with a sea breeze.  Mostly sunny skies prevail through Thursday.  More clouds mix in Friday with isolated afternoon showers turning into more widespread showers Friday evening and overnight.

While the weekend isn’t perfect, the timing of showers may work out ok for us.  Friday night rain should taper off by Saturday morning, allowing for a mild and dry Saturday.  A few more showers zip in here Saturday evening, allowing for a cooler and breezy, but mainly dry Sunday.

Overall, we’ll do ok.

How about a page from the "It Could Be Worse" book?  May 9-10th of 1977, a Spring snowstorm pasted the area with heavy, wet snow.  Over a foot of snow fell in much of Central and Western Mass!
