BOSTON (WHDH) - Two superheroes brought smiles to some young patients at Massachusetts General Hospital Tuesday.

Chris Evans and his “Captain America: Civil War” co-star Anthony Mackie surprised children at MGH. The actors met with dozens of patients, signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Earlier this week, Sudbury native Evans took the “22 Push-Up Challenge” after he was challenged by a fellow Massachusetts actor, Newton’s John Krasinski. The online camapgin raises awareness about suicide rates among veterans.

As Evans started his push-ups, his dog Dodger tried jumping in to play with him. In the end, Evans finished and challenged Mackie and another “Captain America: Civil War” co-star, Jeremy Renner.
