The Boston City Council will hold a public hearing on banning puppy mills in the city.
Last week, Councilor Matt O’Malley filed a bill that would ban pet shops in Boston from selling dogs, cats, or rabbits that come from commercial breeders.
It would also prevent the sale of animals in public places, including parks and on city streets.
