Today’s class act is a sixth grader who’s done a lot to raise money for Children’s Hospital in Boston.

Tyler Puchulu has raised $8 thousand by building a lemonade stand for three years in a row in Marlborough.

While he typically charges 50 cents a cup for his lemonade, Tyler says he’ll sometimes make as much as $20 dollars from generous customers.

Tyler says he gets a lot of help from his family, from building his stand, to actually selling the lemonade.

“I kind of oversaw and made sure everything was safe, but the kids were the architects and assemblers of this,” said Tyler’s stepdad John Guerard.

Back when Tyler was in fourth grade, he wanted to volunteer to help kids at Children’s, but didn’t qualify because he was too young.

This should come as no surprise to Tyler’s teachers at the Advanced Math and Science Academy who say Tyler is always ready to be a helper.

Tyler’s lemonade stand is closed for the season, but he says he’ll be out there in Marlborough again in July, selling lemonade for kids at Children’s.

“I don’t know how long I want to do this for but hopefully I’ll just raise some more money,” said Tyler.
