AUBURN, Maine (AP) — Jurors will soon begin deliberations in the trial of a man accused of stabbing a woman at least 11 times outside a laundromat in Lewiston, Maine.

Closing arguments are expected Wednesday in the murder trial of 77-year-old Albert Flick. He’s charged with fatally stabbing 48-year-old Kimberly Dobbie in front of her 11-year-old twins in July 2018.

The Sun Journal reports that Maine’s deputy chief medical examiner testified Tuesday that the wounds penetrated the victim’s heart and lung. She died from blood loss.

Surveillance video captured the attack along with Flick’s purchase two days earlier of a pair of knives used in the attack. Prosecutors say Flick was infatuated with Dobbie, following her around and dining at the homeless shelter where she and her sons were living.
