SALEM, MASS. (WHDH) - The Coast Guard is searching for a 22-year-old man who set sail from Salem and is now lost at sea.
The Coast Guard said Matthew Dennis, a Colorado native, took off from Salem on Sept. 22 in a white 28-foot fiberglass sailboat and hasn’t been heard from since Sept. 29, when he was just off the coast of Long Island. Dennis had been sharing his journey to Florida on YouTube and TikTok. Dennis also said in one video from Sept. 22 that he thought he broke his arm.
The Coast Guard is asking anyone who has heard from Dennis or knows where he is to contact them.
