COHASSET, MASS. (WHDH) - Rescue crews pulled a man’s body from a submerged pickup truck in Cohasset Harbor on Wednesday morning, police said.

Police, along with a dive team, responded to the area around 5 a.m. for a report of a vehicle in the water.

Chief William Quigley said police reviewed town video footage and confirmed that a truck drove into the water. A recovery effort was then immediately launched.

Crews found Keith Herzog, 38, inside the submerged truck, authorities said. The truck was pulled from the water just before 10 a.m.

Investigators said Herzog was alone in the truck when it traveled the length of the Cohasset Harbor Dock before entering the water.

“We are keeping an open mind, it does appear to be accidental,” Quigley said.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. Police said it does not appear to be suspicious.
