The bitter cold weather Sunday caused some trouble for the MBTA.

Both the Red and Orange lines needed rail repairs Sunday afternoon. At Assembly Station, crews lit kerosene on fire to align a rail. On the Red Line, a rail broke at Quincy Adams Station.

Regular service has since resumed on both lines. The Blue Line also experienced some delays due to a wiring issue at Wonderland Station.
