Oh snap!—–Another cold morning as many towns are starting in the teens & 20s! In fact, the past 5 mornings have seen cold temps..which is true…but I think what also is at play is the incredible warmth over the first two weeks of November. When you look at the 18 days, 13 of those days have featured morning temps in the 40s & 50s!! That’s not normal. Only the past 5 days have wee seen temps in the 20s & 30s. These numbers are close to normal for this time of day (and year). Long story short…..bundle up!

We do have milder air set to return tomorrow and Friday but we’ll have to go through some weather to get back into the fun stuff. It will be a batch of rain, which is currently out in Chicago, heads this way late Thursday afternoon. This system will begin to throw clouds into New England overnight & for much of the day tomorrow and then rain after 4pm Thursday. This storm will also move temps upward through the day tomorrow–starting in the 40s & finishing in the 50s by evening. This rainy, mild air is with us tomorrow night where most towns pick up an inch of rain or less by the time it leaves early Friday morning (5-6am). Sunshine returns midday Friday and mild temps stay around with most towns up near 60 by afternoon! Just dandy.

The weekend sees colder weather return with high temps on Saturday in the upper 40s & mid 40s on Sunday. A cold front does the dirty work to these temps but just clouds on Saturday. Sunday could start with some rain & wet snow showers before a cold wind sweeps them out to sea by midday.

Looking down the road, next week appears quiet in New England with seasonal temps and there are some signs by first week in December, we see an early winter pattern try to set up across the northeast…cold but normal.
