SAN DIEGO and BURBANK, Calif. — Oliver Queen will have his work cut out for him when he returns to Starling City for the second season of The CW’s #1 series “Arrow.” This weekend’s Comic-Con panel session in Ballroom 20 gave fans a lot to look forward to with big casting news and a brand new trailer full of spoilers and surprises.
Executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg revealed that Bronze Tiger and Sebastian Blood will appear in the acclaimed action drama’s second season.
Michael Jai White will play Ben Turner, a claw-wielding assassin better known as Bronze Tiger, who’s well known to DC Comics fans as a member of both the League of Assassins and the Suicide Squad. On Arrow, he’ll form an unholy alliance with fan-favorite villain China White, another well-established character in the DC Comics universe.
Kevin Alejandro will play Sebastian Blood. Drawing inspiration from the iconic New Teen Titans nemesis Brother Blood, Sebastian is an alderman who rises to power in the wake of the earthquake that devastated Starling City in Arrow’s first-season finale. Blood’s “man-of-the-people” popularity instantly places him at odds with Oliver Queen, whose family he blames for the quake.
And those aren’t the only new faces coming to Starling City. The special season two reel released at Comic-Con teases the first look at the villian Isabel Rochev who, as it was previously announced, is played by Summer Glau. Fans also got to see Caity Lotz in action as Black Canary.
Arrow will return to CW56 for its second season on October 9.
