MALDEN, MASS. (WHDH) - The Massachusetts Governor’s Council will consider Gov. Charlie Baker’s proposal to pardon a brother and sister convicted of sex abuse on Tuesday.
In 1986, Gerald Amirault was convicted of sexually abusing eight children at the the Fells Acre Day Care Center in Malden.
Amirault’s sister, Cheryl Amirault LeFave, and mother, Violet Amirault, were also convicted of related crimes.
Baker has echoed concerns about the convictions because of the methods the prosecutors used to question the children.
