FALL RIVER, MASS. (WHDH) - Police are investigating after a construction worker injured in an equipment malfunction in Fall River on Tuesday.

Initial reports said the worker was hit by a piece of concrete, but police now say that did not happen.

The worker was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
