I love fall and am preparing for the inevitable but I would like that to occur in September…not August. Our pattern remains cool for a few more days and the issue with the cool pattern today is that clouds will be with us for much of TGIF. We’ll also see some showers this morning but they will melt away by midday. Despite the raindrops fading away the clouds will hang with us and these clouds working in tandem with the cool air will prevent temps from reaching 70 by afternoon. Not a great beach day but outdoor plans this afternoon (IE golf) can get accomplished. Cloudy & cool for both the Pats game & Sox game this evening.
As for the weekend, We get off to a slow start (it happens) with clouds & some patchy drizzle then sunshine breaks through those clouds by afternoon. Sunday offers mostly sunny skies for much of the day with Sunday being the brighter of the two days. Temps both days are still somewhat cool with daytime highs in the low 70s. By next week, we hold onto the sunshine as summer makes one last stand across New England. The tea leaves are suggesting we make a run into the 80s–possibly 90–next week!
Have a great weekend.
